One of the most iconic Cretan pies, inspired by the shape of the sariki, the traditional Cretan headscarf. Thin, spiral-shaped pies filled with tangy xinomizithra cheese are baked until golden, sprinkled with roasted sesame seeds or walnuts and cinnamon, usually served with honey, and perfectly accompanied by a glass of tsikoudia.
